The essential session cookie is set only when you log in or create an account. It does not track your browsing activity, and it cannot be used to identify you on other websites.

The essential session cookie is configured with the following security attributes:

  • HttpOnly: The cookie cannot be accessed by JavaScript, protecting against cross-site scripting attacks.
  • SameSite=Lax: The cookie is not sent with cross-site requests, protecting against cross-site request forgery.
  • Secure: In production, the cookie is only transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.

Third-party cookies

Slidenote uses Microsoft Clarity as a third-party analytics and session-replay provider. Clarity may use cookies and similar technologies to help us understand interactions with the Service, such as page views, clicks, scrolling, and session recordings. We do not use third-party cookies for advertising.
